WHAT ARE FRAMELESS CABINETS?

If you’re considering a kitchen remodel or just looking to update the look of your space, you may have heard of frameless cabinets. But what exactly are they, and how do they differ from the more traditional framed cabinets?

First and foremost, frameless cabinets, also known as European-style cabinets, are exactly what they sound like: cabinets without frames. Instead of the traditional wooden frame around the edges of the cabinet, frameless cabinets have a simple, box-like design with no front frame. This gives them a clean and minimalist appearance that is perfect for contemporary kitchens.

BENEFITS OF FRAMELESS CABINETS?

Another key difference between frameless and framed cabinets is the way they are constructed. Our frameless cabinets are made from a single sheet of non toxic plywood (NAUF), with the hinges attached directly to the sides of the cabinet box, rather than being attached to a front frame. This allows for more storage space inside the cabinets, as there is no space wasted on a frame.

In addition to their modern look and increased storage space, frameless cabinets also have some practical advantages. Because they are made from a single sheet of nontoxic plywood, they require less material to construct and therefore are more environmentally friendly than face framed cabinets.

DISADVANTAGES OF FRAMELESS CABINETS?

But are frameless cabinets right for everyone? While they are a great choice for many homeowners, there are a few drawbacks to consider. For one, frameless cabinets are not as sturdy as framed cabinets since they don’t have the face frame to add more structure and rigidity to the face of the cabinet, so they may not be the best choice for heavy-duty use. Second is that the front edge of the frame is a veneered plywood rather that a solid wood face frame; some clients love the look on the front when they open the doors.

Overall, frameless cabinets are a stylish and practical option for those looking to update their kitchen. With their clean lines and increased storage space, they are a great choice for modern homeowners. So if you're looking to give your kitchen a fresh new look, consider giving frameless cabinets a try.
